favorite suburban Detroit clubs?

H8S, Bogarts, Flight Club - in that order for mileage. Flight Club first for class.

The new Hustler club will be very close to you. I like it.
Bogarts and H8s are too skanky for my taste.
I also like the Playhouse not only because they have the most comfortable club pothead seating - slouchy couches around the outside of the room - of any club. Mileage is usually high but maybe not so insanely high as the aformentioned Bogarts and H8's.

Don't be lazy. Read the reviews here on TUSCL and on aesource.net. Lots of helpful information on what to expect and how to negotiate.

Here is my short list:
Hustler-- Very private VIP rooms, good but somewhat variable talent and most (not all) of the dancers provide extras.

Flight Club-- same as Hustler but has more "add on expenses" (higher valet and drink prices) than Hustler

Landing Strip-- variable talent but reasonably private VIP but not as nice as Hustler and FC

Bogarts-- neighborhood bar atmosphere, OK dancers with a few gems, all about the extras

Henry VIII-- a step down from Bogarts in the neighborhood bar and quality of dancers. All about the extras.

Be willing to negotiate and don't just say yes to any price that is quoted. Have fun!

Sam, Penthouse is north, but I really lucked into a heck-of-a deal last time there. Frankly, it put everything else in Detroit to shame.

Here's my short list, in no particular order really:

1. Subi's Place (Southgate)- been there, and had a good time, particularly during the day
2. Playhouse (Romulus)- been there, although small and slow, fun can be had there but you have to be picky
3. Trumpps (8 Mile Rd)- been there, nice upstairs private VIP
4. Flight Club (Inkster)- been there, very rarely do I leave unhappy, one of my favorites actually
5. Penthouse (8 Mile Rd)- can't go wrong here for sure, very upscale
6. Bogarts or Henry VIII- haven't been since the reviews tend to be on the lowest end of upscale, but evidently its all about extras, which if you're into sloppy seconds, I guess it could be fun.

Sure wish judyjudy would weigh in here...sigh...

La Chambre I believe Tuesday is $10 dance day/night
less skanky then the two above but a great local club, great looking girls great attitude, low cost. When the clubs have $10 dances I end up staying longer and spending more then the higher priced dance clubs.

SC - Been a while since I have been out and about.What would you like me to comment on specifically?

jj- just thought you could add to the discussion about which clubs you would recommend since you've tried a few and seem to have a handle on what goes on in the Motor City. that's all.

Thanks SC and Vince...although I never left. I have only been to a handful of clubs and I have never had a problem per say. From what i have seen....most of the clubs i have been to are basically anything goes....as long as the dancer is ok with it. I have never felt restricted if you will by management. I did however have the one experience where the manager wanted a BBBJ just to allow me to go on stage at his club.........

Having seen you BBBJ picture, I can kind of understand that.
