Feature request

georgmicrodong
Just a fat, creepy old pervert.
Founder, here's a couple of feature requests I'd find useful, if you can figure out how to do them.

1. An option to view *only* the threads that have new messages since the last time I logged on, with a preference for newest to oldest, or oldest to newest.

2. An option to mark threads as read, without actually reading them.

3. An option to ignore a thread, like we can ignore a user, so that it won't show up even if somebody posts something new to it. An option to restore a thread might be useful, too.

Thanks for listening.

well if we're going to start requesting things i'd like to see options for smilies and posting pics in this section.

troop: If including those options here doesn't preclude posting from my phone. :) I cant comment on blogs or articles because whatever control is used there doesn't work in mobile Safari. That might be a setting, but if so, I haven't found it.

i tried posting a pic in an article or blog and if i remember right the function is disabled, the smilies obviously work because peeps have posted them there.
anyway i would like to see the pic function available in discussions.

oh.. and being able to edit our posts after we've posted it would be a good feature too imo.

sometimes i misspell something or want to add something to a post without having to start another post

I thought that it would be nice to be able to use a video as my avatar. But then some dumb ass would post a 90 minute porno.

There are several suggestions that I could make, but at the same time I like to keep tuscl discussion board simple so it loads fast and is easy to use.

Would like to be able to edit the blog post section. Right now that option only appears when one is trying to post a new blog entry.

CT: If I'm understanding correctly what you want, go to your profile and click "my blogs". You should get a page that let's you edit or delete your blogs. Not the comments, but the blog itself.

Thank you, GMD. I never thought of that. Just checked and it appears to offer the opportunity to edit.

I don't know if the following requests go along with anything said previously, but I could go for a recent review page which lists only the clubs in your hotlist. I don't mind reading Shadowcat's reviews of Platinum Plus, but I haven't been there, and realistically, I'm not going there any time soon.

Would it be possible to expand the use of maps beyond just the city display and make it more interactive? What I'd like to see is the ability to look at a city or region, and then move the map to another, close area, and have it load the clubs in that area into the map. Being able to click on the club on the map and bring up the club details/reviews would also be nice.

While the topic is still available, here's a couple more:

    - The option to be notified, in a manner similar to new messages, of comments to a blog or article post that I made.
    - The ability to make blog and article comments from Mobile Safari. It works with the desktop version of Safari 5.0, but I can't do anything with the editing control at all when it displays on my iPhone, which is at iOS 4.0.2.
