A photographer in Canada has made a revolutionary move and released a book of pornography for the blind.
The book titled “Tactile Mind†features pages of people in the nude with sexually explicit captions made from thermoform plastic, the same material used for Braille.
Author Lisa Murphy of TactileMindBook.com says she put the book together so that she could include the blind in the sexualized society we live in today.
She tells the Associated Free Press,
“When I had the idea, I started looking around and I realized there were no nude books out there for the blind, We live in a society that is much sexualized - just look at advertising. But if you can't see then you are probably not aware of how sexualized it is. And I believe that vision-impaired people have been [wrongly] left out of the experience. Of course, anyone can find it erotic, not just the vision-impaired."
The raised images of naked men and women include Murphy and some of her friends who dressed in bondage and wore masks to add to the titillating pictures.
According to the AFP, numerous vision impaired people have tried out the book and say it was “interesting†but not titillating.
