Phillies Fan Scores Acquittal, Conviction in Sex-for-Tickets Trial

Susan Finkelstein went 1-for-2 in the Philadelphia trial in which she was accused of soliciting prostitution in an attempt to get tickets to last year's World Series.
According to Philly.com, the defendant was acquitted of a prostitution charge but convicted of attempted prostitution for her actions last October.
Finkelstein is unhappy with the jury's decision.
"I'm obviously disappointed that it didn't come out with both counts not guilty," Finkelstein told the Web site. "I honestly believe it should have gone that way, but there are disappointments in life."
Bensalem (Pa.) police arrested Finkelstein, an avid Phillies fan, on Oct. 26, 2009 in an undercover prostitution sting set up after posting a Craigslist ad with the headline "DESPERATE BLOND NEEDS WS TIX." The West Philadelphia woman caused controversy with her ad, which stated: "Price negotiable -- I'm the creative type! Maybe we can help each other!"
Finkelstein"s attorney, William J. Brennan, considers his client to be a passionate Phillies fan and nothing more.
"She's goofy. She's eccentric. She got nuts with an epidemic case of Phillies Fever," Brennan said. "But she's not a prostitute."
Assistant district attorney Steven Jones feels differently about the defendant.
"I'm a Yankees fan," Jones said.

I did not know "Attempted Prostitution" was something they pinned on people still. Seems petty to me. They would probably make dozens of "attempted prostitution" charges if they sent in an undercover stripper.

The whole case is friggin ridiculous. Next they will probably try to put her on the sex offender list.

    Isn't attempted prostitution called "pandering?"

I think that's what they usually charge the pimps with gk.
