D.C. recommendations?

Maybe make a road trip over to Bmore and hit up the Players Club. It is a top 100 tuscl club. It is about a 40-60 minute drive but that is what I would do. to each their own.

DC and VA laws are not condusive for a good strip club experience. Head to Maryland... up to Baltimore if you can.

The times I've been in the District and visited clubs has been very disappointing. As one of the above post says, the laws seem to be very restrictive. There appears to be a routine for regulars in some of these places that results in a little more friendliness, but it doesn't seem to work for out of towners because we are so obviously in for a one-time visit. What I'm suggesting is that thngs might get more fun/intimate sitting at a remote table or maybe some OTC arrangement might be possible. Even though the places aren't fun, I've observed too much familiarity to think that nothing more special is going on somehow. But inside the clubs, that something extra wouldn't be much at all in my imagination. The advice to drive to Baltimre sounds good.

I recall a somewhat suspicious oversupply of Escort Service ads in the Arlington, VA. Yellow Pages. I think that was the tip on DC strip clubs.

For a good pub, try Murphy's Grand Irish Pub at 713 King St., in Alexandria, VA. (in the heart of the Old Town area.) Everything was good but the nachos, and the prices seemed to be from 1990. Then call an escort (or traveling Asian massage parlor) to turn you into a pretzel before bed.

Go west young man, 1 hour to west virginia. Check out Divas Club near Keaneysville, WVA if you want the full grind lap dance experience with vip and champangne room, or head to Beltville maryland to the Showcase Theater, it in a seedy part of town, but its got hot chicks and full contact lap dance, and private room.
