The Fall of Tampa Bay Strip Clubs

This was supposed to be a review of Mons Venus, Thee Dollhouse and 2001 Odyssey. But my work schedule has been hectic and now this review is going to be an article. With my visits to TB SCS was about 2 months ago, the details (especially the money spent) has become a little fuzzy. The details have become even more fuzzier when you throw in a 3 day trip to my replacement for Follies in TJ, however, I feel it is my duty to report the Tampa Bay strip club scene from an out of towners perspective. So here we go......
It was the weekend of the McGregor Poirer II fight and while my exact details are not crystal clear, I do know SCs in Hillsborough are not like they use to be. To be fair, they never have been South Florida or Atlanta in the 90s, 2000s good, but they were fairly decent compared to the rest of the United States. In general, the girls are somewhat the same, the quality and attractiveness of the girls have declined a bit but TB clubs are noticeably pricier with the dancer mileage decreasing.
So, I was riding down Dale Mabry trying to find me a place to watch the Poirer McGregor UFC fight. Without my knowledge, my usual spot Duffy’s was closed for renovations. Prime Time down the street had a line and I don’t do lines. So I pulled over and I thought who is going to show the fight. Then it hit me. Thee Dollhouse!! I called them and indeed they had the fight just for a$20 cover.
I arrived at Thee Dollhouse around 10:45PM. Valet was mandatory as there is no self-parking. I believe the charge it’s like $5 plus tip. The layout of Thee Dollhouse is the same. They have little circular tables on the bottom half surrounding the main stage. Toward the back of the club, they have that have booths behind the bar and some tables on the side. The table on the side of the club near the entrance is where I sat. I decided to get some dinner as I had not eaten. You would think such a posh strip club would have great food. Negative. This decent looking waitress came over and offered me Thee Dollhouse menu. The only thing on there was pizza, chicken tenders and chicken quesadillas. I ordered quesadillas as it was the only dish that wasn’t friend. The waitress came back and told me they were out of chicken but could offer me some chicken tenders. I had to eat so I agreed to the chicken tenders. Turns out all the food at Thee Dollhouse is some processed frozen crap that they charge $30 or more for. Those chicken tenders were so processed out the freezer crap. The dipping sauce sucked too.
Now onto the main part of the club; the dancers. As Thee Dollhouse, It pushes itself as a “posh” strip club with some of the hottest strippers in Tampa is true, the value and the mileage, is not. Dances on the floor are $10 while the dancers in the booth area to the back is $20 (might even be $25).The table dances offer little to no contact as they pretty much just dance there topless ass in front of you and wave their bikini bottom ass in your face. This Puerto Rican from NY I danced first. We had a decent conversation and talked about her time in the military and how her mistreatment from men led her to being gay. Great, how nice? Anyway, I had a couple of dances from her as I waited for my plastic chicken tenders to be baked in the oven. The next girl I danced had an eerily similar story. She hated men too, but again this was 2 ½ months ago so I forget why. She also had a girlfriend and was a decent looking Asian. She was cool and I was having some shoulder pain from weight training, so I asked her if she could give me a massage. She agreed, sort of and said she would simultaneously dance and give me a massage. It was a decent massage, but I wish she had of concentrated on the massage. After about 2 massages I let her go.
After I consumed my thirty dollar baked plastic tenders, I watched McGregor get his ass pounded yet again. Then I was in the mood for one last dance before I headed out.
My third dance was a beauty. She was Puerto Rican and maybe mixed with something else. She had a sone of the prettiest faces you ever seen and her body was incredible. She had soft ass and tits, which she let my hands explore through her pasties. I took her immediately to the back area and got a decent mileage dances. I got a total of 3 in all. As nice as she was, she made sure to let you know she was ITC only (no OTC, but everyone has a number IMO). I asked for her Instagram but she claimed she didn’t have one or did not give it custies . She too had a girlfriend. God she was so fine.
After that I left Thee Dollhouse, I went to 2001 Odyseey. The cover was higher than normal. I believe I might have paid $40 to come in. I parked for free next to Mons Venus in the Dennys parking lot so I didn’t have to worry about that. As I entered 2001 Odysey, it was pretty weak which was disappointing as it’s typically my favorite SC in Tampa. They have a good combination of pretty girls and pretty good mileage in those private back rooms. I left and came back a few times between there and Mons. Those two twin fake ass and titty girls from India are still there. They had attitudes as the place was dead and no one was dancing them. A lot of the girls had attitudes as the guys wasn’t interesting in spending $20-25 song and was more interested in tipping the stage. Then I saw this one girl that was petite, light skin and just overall pretty. I took her back to the private booths which cost about $5 and I danced her for about 4-5 songs. She was so hot and seduces me and played the role. She gave me her number, we talked briefly once and I never heard from her again
Probably the main reason I wrote this review turned into an article, was to discuss the HUGE drop off of Mons Venus. The cover to this shit hole was $20. Immediately when you walk in, you see the drop off in the girls. The format of the club has changed slightly since I last been here. There are now private booths on both sides of the club. And the price of the rooms varies depending on the puta you talk to. The one woman I was mildly interested in, was this Hispanic, slightly older broad. She saw me looking at her as I contemplated if I wanted to take her for a spin. So I decided to get the rundown of the prices for different things. Well, when you ask and the girl starts off with “For me”, you might as well stop the conversation because what she says after that will be a bunch of BULLSHIT. She told me the rooms were $14 for one song $18 for two songs and I can’t remember after that. In addition, she wanted $25 for one song, $45 for two and I forget the price after that. In general, the more time and dances you bought the more breaks you received. That’s a hell of price jump for this place. I guess Mons trying to make up for the money lost during the pandemic. I don’t know. If you’re going to charge more, I suggest having better looking girls. They were truck stop unattractive, the worse of central Florida.
Overall, my trip to TB strip clubs was a huge disappointed. I enjoyed the SCs in Cocoa Beach better TBH (see my July reviews of Cheaters, old IR and that other spot). The girls are not as attractive as in years pass and the mileage has decreased. And they have the audacity to jack the prices up for these clubs. It’s all good, I understand the pandemic has something to do with that. With that being said, the only reason I’ll be in TB anytime soon is for family reasons or to watch my Falcons crushed the defending SB champ Bucs in week 2. LMAO. Talkto you soon TUSCL community.

The only parking spaces 2001 charges for are the handful of valet spaces out front. Otherwise, a bunch of spots in back of the club lot.
Lastly, what night/timeframe did you go to Mons, 2001? (Guessing a Fri or Sat after midnight.)
