San Diego Strip Clubs, or Cross the Border?

I was recently needing to travel to the San Diego area for work, and just like most of us, I spent time researching the best clubs to go to during my trip (all work and no play, right?) So, I looked into the list of San Diego clubs and was working on narrowing it down to Goldfingers or maybe Deja Vu, when I noticed that Tijuana clubs show up towards the bottom of the list. While I hadnt planned on crossing the border, I was interested to see what those clubs looked like. I noticed, for example, that there is a Deja Vu just across the border into Tijuana. Here's what I ended up deciding...for the cost of some beers and some private dances (at least $100, maybe $200) at one of the San DIego clubs, I could have a much more ... interesting ... time in Tijuana. I put some time into looking at the different TJ clubs and ended up figuring out that for the time I wanted to visit (early afternoon on a Monday), the best club was probably Hong Kong. When the day arrived, I drove to the outlet mall area at the border and paid for parking (about $20). I walked across the border (Ped West) and in about 20 minutes was in Tijuana. Just across the street from the Ped West cab area, I found the Hong Kong complimentary limo which took me directly to the club (I could have taken a cab for $5 and that would have worked just as well). At the club, it cost me about $5 per beer (very steep for Mexico...very reasonable when compared to US clubs), and there were honestly TONS of attractive women. I ended up agreeing to go upstairs a couple of different times with a couple of different girls for under $100 each trip. Returning to the US a couple of hours later was just as easy as getting into Mexico - $5 cab ride back to Ped West, walk across with 'nothing to declare' and back to my car. All I can say is that I'm really glad I dont live close to the border or I'd go broke repeating the trip...
