My Journey to SC Fandom

So I'm not the most experienced SCer in the world. I actually couldn't stand the idea of SCs when I was younger, which is almost a sin as I'm from South Florida.

Paying a woman to dance...when I can use some game and get the same type of grind for free in a regular club? Made no sense to 90s me. 90s me also thought SCs were only for PLs - even though my favorite rappers used to talk about them glowingly.

My first SC visit was to Rolexxx during Labor Day weekend of 1999. Friend of mine from Cincinnati heard about it in Luke songs and whatnot, so he wanted to go. Bunch of us went out there: we saw Nick Van Exel and Sam Cassell, which was the highlight of my evening. After that we went to Coco's and I barely remember being there.

A couple years later I was staying with my cousin and looking for a job in Atlanta. He was dating a girl who worked at Pleasers and basically forced me to tag along with him for a club visit. He did buy me a couple of table dances, but I mostly sat there bored. He brought the girl back to his place, so at least he won for the evening.

Didn't go to a SC again until 2010. One night I decided to check out Fight Night at King of Diamonds (KOD). Thought the fighting was going to be mud wrestling or something like that. How wrong I was: they set up an actual boxing ring and two women actually boxed. I was surprised and entertained. Before that, though; I got my first - and to date, best - lap dance ever. Girl was fine, grind was great...to this day, every time I hear one of the songs, I think back to that dance.

I went to a couple more SCs the summer of 2011, including another trip to KOD...but the experience that changed everything was to a local bikini bar (SCs aren't allowed where I live). I enjoy dancing rather than watching, so I decided to take a chance and dance with a dancer rather than let her control everything. She was cool with it and I had fun. Whole world changed: from that point on, I've learned to like SCs. All I had to do was be me and look for the same things in a SC that I looked for in regular clubs.

I guess if there's a moral to this, it's to just be yourself and make sure you are entertained. Flip all that 'fantasy' nonsense that SW-type strippers try to sell. Have a good time, get some laughs in, drink if that's your thing, and have a story to tell when you get home (but watch who you tell, of course).

There's very little "fantasy" left in strip clubs for me. And I'm perfectly OK with that. In fact, I prefer reality over fantasy.

We all have our different preferences and personalities – it seems like you like the party ambiance/atmosphere of a SC and nothing wrong w/ that.

For me – I love women – I love to look at them and feel/touch them. When I SC; it’s all about the women/dancers; looking at them; and getting to feel them up via high-mileage dances.

“… but the experience that changed everything was to a local bikini bar (SCs aren't allowed where I live) …”

Well – in a situation like this where one is in a club w/ not much mileage; then maybe hanging/partying may be the only/better option.

Oh, I love the mileage: that's #1 on the priority list. It was actually pretty good at the local spot, mainly because I avoided low-mileage dancers like the plague. Partying is (lots of) fun, but I don't go to SCs to look.

Guess I should've clarified: when I say 'dance', I mean 'good grind with high mileage'. That air dance nonsense can kick rocks with steel toe boots.
