Oh dear. The joys of rural...

Oh dear. The joys of rural clubs. I should have known better. My motivation was actually to grab a burger and beer on the way through Payson and enjoy some nice 'scenery' in the club after I saw the advertising on the edge of town.

The club itself was small but pleasant and clean enough. Go in, pay the $5 cover and into a bar area with a couple of girls sat at the bar with a customer. Nice enough bartender. I ordered my food and a beer and took a seat looking at the small stage (there was also another smaller stage nearby for rotation).

Was enjoying my beer when the bartender came over 10 mins after I placed my order to say that the cook had been sent home (7pm on a Saturday??) and there was no food. I got a refund, but not on the cover when I complained that the burger was what I came in for (maybe that wasn't a believable story but it was true, primarily).

The ladies were ok but mainly 4-6. Friendly, I'm sure they were pleasant to talk to but not really eye candy. Would have expected better for a Saturday night. Even a couple of local cowboys came in and left after about 10 mins. That says a lot.

Keep driving to Phoenix.
