I found myself in Payson a while back and decided to make the trip a few miles east to Pete’s Place. Since my last trip and visit to Star Valley, where Pete’s Place is located, they have put up speed cameras, so if you are going to Pete’s, watch your speed. I think it is 45 mpH here and I saw the light flash for someone who wasn’t going much faster than I was, so watch your speed. I would hate to have to add a speeding fine to the cost of cover. If you have Waze, it should warn you of this.

Pete’s Place is nothing to write home about, but it isn’t bad either. It is worth the stop if you are in the area and want to spend a pleasant time passing a few hours without spending a lot of money, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get there.

Star Valley is mountain tourist area. Pete’s is located on the main drag, Hwy 260, and there really is no bad part of town, so you can feel safe and your car is likely safe as well. The whole place is done in knotty pine and has more of the feel of a mountain steakhouse, souvenier shop, or restaurant than a strip club. It is also too well lit for my taste, and I suspect the taste of most clubbers.
