Well I guess I should have listened to the reviews regarding not getting much value for the money at the Furnace. They have wonderful, glossy advertising in the hotel magazines and know how to draw in visiting businessmen with their promise of a high-end "premier" gentlemen's club. To their credit the club location, parking, and building with it's clean appearance makes it an easy pick for safety, particularly when you're alone like I was tonite, on a Monday evening. But it certainly doesn't match the class of the better, upscale clubs in Dallas, SF, and LA. The $10 cover was tolerable, but I was hoping to get more out of my 2 lap dances than what the other reviewers had experienced. If you read any of my previous reviews you'd see that I have a philosophy that if you pick the right dancer, are clear with her regarding what you're looking for and how much you're willing to pay, and treat her with respect, that you'll usually get what you're looking for and leave with a happy ending, or at minimum get some significant 2-way contact. WRONG! Not happening here. I did my best to charm 2 different dancers, but this place is too closely watched and all i really got were 2 air dances. The girls overall weren't bad to look at, but if you're looking for some good physical contact and some extras then save your money for other cities, or get an escort when you're in Birmingham so you won't leave disappointed. I'm traveling to Mobile, AL tomorrow and am hoping for a better experience.
