A few friends and I decided...
A few friends and I decided to check out the all-new 5 million-dollar strip club The Coliseum. Arrived Friday night at about 9pm. It can be difficult to find since it is located a couple of thousand feet off 8 Mile and they still don’t have a sign on the road. Just look for the neon columns that lead to the front.
The Facts: Valet parking only. $10 cover. Mandatory coat check $2 or $4 can’t remember. Drink prices expensive. Bottled water $10. They have a long stage down the middle with seating around the entire stage. Just off the stage are tables of various sizes. Past the tables is a row of booths running the entire length of the stage on both sides. Behind the booths are two long side stages with poles at each end. Then another row of booths and a large area in the back corner to accommodate bachelor parties. In the back of the club they have two lap dance areas. The first is kind of open with a bunch of cushy leather covered chairs and the laps are $20. Beyond that is a room containing semi-private cubicles where the laps are $35. Way in the back is the men’s which is the largest I have ever seen at a strip club. No waiting and all state of the art pluming. There is an attendant to hand you a paper towel or a set of blowers if you are so inclined. There are 16X9 ratio plasma and LCD screens everywhere. Even in the men’s room there is a screen above each urinal. In the second level they have skyboxes for those who don’t like to be part of the crowd. They are $150 an hour and are supposed to contain a closed circuit television system where you can check out the stripers pick the ones you like and someone will fetch them for you. The system isn’t working yet but not to worry because as soon as you occupy one of the rooms you will be bombarded by stripers. They also have a celebrity room. They have a menu that looks like it belongs in a fine restaurant and a large wine selection. The decorations inside appear to be Egyptian so it makes one wonder why name it The Coliseum.
The Good: This place is the most luxurious best laid out roomiest most comfortable strip club I have ever seen. There is not a bad seat in the place. They have six dancers on the various stages at a time so sooner or later they will all be dancing close to you. The entire staff is cheerful and friendly and they have hired people to give you a tour of the place so you can find your way around.
