Yes: I spoke with the friendly lady with the overbite that seemed like a fixture at Shimmers. I don't know that the old dump looks any better -- it's basically a fishing shack, hard to imagine anyone spending the money on renovating. If you had money, you'd knock it down :) I didn't check out the dances, so no information yet about whether mileage is any better than Shimmers. It looked likely though.
