Well, the old house of cards...
Well, the old house of cards (aka the furnace) made the news here in Birmingham last week. And, of course it wasn't good news! I call it a giant house of cards, because well, just like a house of cards, it will only stand up for so long. I don't care who you are (managers, owners, dancers, etc.) you can't ride the tiger forever. Anyway, while I may sound like a displeased customer with a bad taste in my mouth, heed my cautionary tale and stay out of that place. It is set up for the dancers to bleed you, and by bleed you I mean drug you and get you to spend money like you are a millionare. Hey, I'm all for hitting the strip club, just stay out of that one. Something strange is going on there.
Anyway, that was my cautionary tale, so here is my review. The service is awful. The staff does not want to be there and it shows. It takes an eternity to get a drink. Well, let me rephrase that, it takes an eternity for the customer to get a drink. But the dancers can get a drink in no time. Because, (wink wink) that's where the $$$$ is! If I must give it a plus, I would say the parking is quite easy, the parking lot is safe, and the building is very very nice, and the food is good. But, that's about it. The girls are scammers. They will tell you they will date you. Yes, in so many words, they will tell you that, knowing it's a lie. I'm no rocket scientist, but I know good and well that they were never going to "date me". I mean, come on now! I would not be able to live with myself if my job depended on me being a ruthless con artist. And before you say "oh, but you knew that going in", and "that's their job", yeah, I know they are there to make money, but to tell such a blatant lie. No. That doesn't cut it. That is stepping over the line. And be particularly careful (should you go) about private dances. One never really means one. The dancer will do one of two things. Keep on going when the song ends and swear you requested more than one song, OR lie and tell you there is a "three song minimum". There is no "minimum" on dances there, BUT they lie, and they get away with it because, hey if they sell more dances, then that's more that the club makes. So, naturally, going to the management about that little trick will get you nowhere. They are probably in on it too. Ultimately, it's just way too many dancers chasing the same money in a wannabe upscale club in a not-so-rich city. Do the math. And be careful if you choose to go.
