I stopped here in the city...

I stopped here in the city of Ottumwa, supposed birthplace of Radar O'Riley from MASH, on a Wednesday evening while passing through town, and as I hadn't ever stopped in, I thought I would try this joint out. I've been to a fair number of clubs. But this one was one of the seediest I've ever been to.

Not only was it a pain in the ass to get to this place - navigation through the downtrodden downtown area is complicated by one-way streets - but there were punky kids and other rough looking characters and the like hanging around on the doorsteps of the stores, etc. I parked my car right across the street from the club and felt actually more nervous about doing so here than I did at Ybor Strip in Tampa (which is in a terrible area).

Inside the place is dingy, long, and narrow. The stage is pretty big, and unusually high, when I sat there the top of the stage was almost shoulder height. There were four dancers, two black, two white. A dollar tip went pretty far at the stage for all of them, which is what saved this place from being a "1" or "2".
