Continuing my tour of Dallas clubs, I tried Silver City on a slow Monday evening. The whole ritual if showing ID and completing and signing a form to get in is pretty strange.... but admission was free with a hotel room key, so worth the hassle. The club itself is quite nice; very spacious (there were entire rooms that I never even saw), a large main stage, lots of side stages. The private area is not very private-- just a slightly elevated and rather well lit place adjacent to the main floor. Drinks are real expensive-- I nursed one for the entire evening. The dancers were beautiful-- nothing less than a 7. There must be some insider trick to getting the attention of the dancers however. Unlike other clubs I have visited here, the dancers didn't mingle or solicit dances.... they just went directly from stage to stage, and then disappeared, or returned to their regulars. I sat for almost two hours, tipped regularly at the stages, and was never once approached by a dancer. This was definitely the least hospitable club I have visited in Dallas. Hard to know how to rate this one--the club and dancers rate high, but I don't rate my personal experience very high...
