A DFW classic, but slipping a bit. It may be accurate to blame it on the economy, but this club has been on the decline for some time in a number of ways. Dancer quality is the first indication--the average has dropped a point or two, and the past few times I've gone I haven't found that inevitable 9 or 9.5 that I used to be able to count on. And the facility itself is falling into disrepair itself, a fact particularly apparent in the condition of the many televisions that decorate just about every wall of the place. It has actually become an interesting socialogical experiment, to see just how bad the tv's have to get before the ownership will replace them. Probably a third are entirely burned out, and all but a few of those that remain produce laughably bad blurry/discolored pictures from having run fourteen or fifteen hours a day for many years. Perhaps when the very last functional television goes entirely black the ownership will decide it's time to buy some new ones. And, finally, no review of BD would be complete without a mention of the deejay's painful schtick. "Put some money on this honey! Be good to the girls, they'll be good to you!" Fingernails on a chalkboard. Hope this place turns around. My visits have become increasingly infrequent, and that trend will continue as long as the current Baby Dolls trend does as well. Plus side: $3 admission, good contact dances (if you find a girl worthy), cool valet parking guys.
