I don't know how typical this club is for Oregon, but it is unlike anything I've seen before. Despite the warnings of how run down it is, my first impression was that it was a well-enough maintained small bar that happened to have some dancers. It was reasonably busy for a Sunday night. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of a cover charge and beer was a reasonable $3. After I said I didn't want another drink, they didn't pester me again, which is nice. The "stages" are circular marble counters around a lower dance floor with a center pole. The dancers make good use of the counter such that you occasionally need to move your drink to avoid having it knocked over. Bring a large stack of single bills ($50 or $60), since the protocol here is to leave a dollar or two on the counter in front of you to get some attention. Each girl does three songs, sequentially in bikini, topless, and nude. This is much better than in Seattle, where you get 5 seconds of nude at the end of one song. Here, the girls are nude for an entire song. Some jump the gun and flash during the first two. The lighting is good for close-up viewing -- no annoying strobes or overuse of black light. The night I was there, a couple of guys were continuously throwing clumps of singles right into the center dance floor, and were getting all the attention. They must have spent several hundred dollars. By patiently waiting for them to leave I got the same show for 1/100 the cost. There were two active stages the night I was there, sometimes with just a few guys at each. Outer rings of tables provide a pretty good show but without the constant tipping requirement. People at the outer tables would come over and leave a dollar or two. There were only about 5 girls working when I arrived, probably 10:00 pm on a Sunday. All were good looking, young, and in great shape. (This is in sharp contrast to the other club I visited in Portland, Jiggles, where the thing jiggling was cellulite.) Yes the girls were hot 8s and 9s. A couple were surgically enhanced, perky but not a lot of motion. All were tan, long hair, and perfectly smooth. What you would expect from a top porn site. There was a sign for private dancing, but I didn't see any activity in our out of the area. I was enjoying the prolonged, close viewing of these gorgeous babes so much that I didn't bother to ask about lap dances. There was a very friendly African-American fellow patron there and he knew some of the dancers and the clubs in the area well and was a lot of fun to talk to. This was the first time that I had ever struck up a conversation like that in a strip joint and it was almost as much fun as the dancers. Very nice guy. Club 205 was one of his two favorites in the city, and now one of mine.
