I hadn't been to Platinum in years and man has it gone downhill. Although I also used to drink a lot and I don't drink at all now. So maybe it's just the difference in seeing it drunk vs. seeing it through sober eyes. This place used to have hot bartenders, hot waitress' and some hot dancers but not anymore. All the girls I saw when I was there were either old or fat or both. I wouldn't have taken a dance from one of those girls for free. The bartenders seemed friendly enough though and the music was a mix of rock and that other stuff. It seemed like a decent place to hang out for a bit if you have nothing else to do and it's close. The girls might look better too if your drunk but then again what girls don't. There are a couple pluses, parking is free during the day and there's no cover.
