To paraphrase Dickens, "You can have the best of times or the worst of times at hbs."
The club itself is rather industrial, but clean (it reeks of cleaning products) and functional. Perhaps the best thing going for hbs is the low, low cost of alcohol. Domestic bottles are $1.50 (a few years ago they were free with admission) and considering that the cover is only $10 you can not go wrong. I do recommend taking care of the servers if you are an impatient lush as I am. Stingy tipping can lead to being ignored by the servers. Overall, the service is generally pretty good, especially during the day shift.
Hbs employs a wide range of dancers, from burnt-out crack whore to stunning. This also applies to the range of attitude, professionalism and skills of the dancers. So my advise is to selective about who you end up spending money on.
Depending on who you are getting dances from, the experience can be really satisfying or truly terrible. The contact is one way (heavily enforced by management), but you can sneak in some cheap feels depending on your rapport with the dancer. Extras are out of the question here, but that's not what I'm coming in here for. I have gotten some really mind-blowing lapdances by really hot and sweet girls at this place, but I've also gotten terrible air dances from girls who looked like they wanted to anywhere but on my lap.
Since this place is real close to my house and you can't beat the price of drinks, I like coming here. Lots of people seem to complain about this place (quality has sunk over the years, the clientele, ect.), and some of these issues are not unheeded, but overall I think you can have fun here if you take it for what it is.
