I've been to nearly all the strip clubs in Portland but my first visit to Soobies was a little scary. When I got there, there were three girls dancing and only one other guy. During the 45-60 minutes I was inside the club, there must have been 30 people come and go (and I'm not talking about buying drinks and watching the dancers). It looks like some sort of gang activity or something. You can probably chalk if up to the neighborhood, but I regularly go to other clubs in NE and SE Portland and haven't seen anything like this.

On the plus side, the dancers were all attractive. One or two of the three offered me a table dance in the back and one of those also offered a "private show" outside the club. Really not surprising considering the overall atmosphere.

Surprisingly, I'm planning to go back soon just to see if the weird atmosphere is typical of the club.
