I have been a fairly frequent customer at the Foxy Lady - it is discreet, fairly upmarket and you can usually have a few beers and relax for a while without undue pressure. It's like the neighborhood bar with the advantage of a nicer view. With the souring of the economy, getting customers to part with cash must be getting a lot harder, so dancers and clubs have the option of lowering prices and improving customer service, or ripping customers off when the opportunity presents itself. A recent experience at the FL was squarely in the latter category.

I agreed to a CR visit with a blond Irish girl, but her talents in the dance department were soon eclipsed by her skills in the accounting department. First she suggested a second dancer (add $250+ - I declined). Then she requested that her $200 in Foxy Dollars be upped by $40 to take into account the Foxy cut when transacting Foxy dollars. My 60 minute session was only 45 minutes, probably because the waitress wanted to end her shift at the top of the hour. Then, she demanded a tip of at least $50. When I declined to tip that much on top of everything else, a torrent of loud verbal abuse followed me all the way down the stairs.

Memo to management: I won't be back for a long time. You don't have to have a degree from Harvard Business School to know this is not the kind of experience that builds a loyal repeat clientele. There are lots of other places to squander cash. The nearby Alex's is grittier, but more genuine and personal, or Providence is under thirty minutes away.
