I set my sights on the Matador Club because it's the only nude club in the area. If you don't know where it is or where you're going it's a PITA to find. As indicated it is just outside the east gate of Eglin AFB but it is off the main road on a semi-paved side street, and there are no signs or lights to let you know where it is, not even on the club itself. Apparently the sign got blown away in a storm and the owners never bothered to replace it. Even when I pulled up right in front I wasn't sure I was in the right place until a dancer arrived in her car and walked in.

The entrance to the club is lined with debris and clutter. Inside the place looks like someone gave up in the middle of a remodeling attempt. The place is old, shabby, and generally neglected. Obviously they have a ready clientele with the military base so they don't need to try to impress.

I paid the $10 cover and $6 for a Jack & Coke, then settled in to check things out. There were eight dancers and maybe ten patrons, neither looking particularly impressive. There was one dancer on stage, fully clothed as no one was tipping. So far, not so good. Still, after all the effort I put into finding the place I was determined to try to make something of my evening.
