sinclair's Review

I went to Mystic Cabaret on a Thursday night at 20:00. This club was formerly known as Cheetah before being rebranded. There was a $10 cover charge at the door. The dress code posted said ‘no sleeveless shirts’, but they did not refuse entry to me even though I was wearing a muscle shirt. Sincweisers were $4 during Happy Hour and $5 at regular price. The Happy Hour runs from 19:00 to 21:00. The left side of the room is the bar. The right side of the room has a stage coming off the wall. It has one spinning pole that is about sixteen feet tall. There is a side stage in the rear with a metal ring hanging over it. The VIP lounge is in the far back, which has the private dance booths and champagne rooms. The VIP lounge also has a second bar and its own auxiliary stage. This stage is used for dancers to practice mostly.

There were six dancers working. Dancers strip down to topless, and there was no contact at the stage. You just end up throwing your dollar bills up there for nothing in return. There were never more than a half dozen customers inside, and I was the only one who bothered to tip the stage. You could tell the dancers were getting frustrated. One dancer pointed out a notorious gray hair who comes in, drinks Stella Artois, and tries to get dancers to meet him outside the club for sex. Like other Pensacola strip clubs, it is $30 to buy a dancer a drink. The dancer keeps half, and the club keeps half.
