Well, it had been well over...

Well, it had been well over 2 years since I stopped in at the Royal Palace, so I figured I should check it out when I was in the area. The mgt seems to have stepped up its game, by actually putting up a web site and (gasp) ADVERTISING in a local paper. So I thought that the club might have been upgraded finally, to appeal to the white-collar types now in the neighborhood and the convention-goers from the Washington Hilton a block away (the one where Reagan was shot).

Boy, was I wrong.

I was there around 5, so MAYBE you could say that it was shift change and that accounted for the slowness. Still, the fact that there was NO dancer on stage for more than five minutes, with not even any music playing, is inexcusable. And the dancers who WERE there...um. I know that some people appreciate women who are "thick", but to me that means they're shaped like an exaggerated hourglass. The dancers at RP are shaped more like cinder blocks. Or pyramids.
