Seeing as how the Royal Palace...

Seeing as how the Royal Palace was the first strip club I ever went in, and that I've been in there a couple dozen times over the last 25 years, I have a fondness for this place. I was last there a year or so ago and found the experience to be average: average dancers, great views, and sometimes some very nice contact when tipping at the stage.

Although I had read the recent reviews, I was skeptical about the reports that dancers are now asking for $20 tips if they sit with you at a table. But it's true, unfortunately.

Friday afternoon there were a half-dozen dancers when I stopped by, and the quality did seem better than normal. One -- Honey -- was very friendly on the stage; I tipped her four times and each time she seemed very pleased; she told me she'd come sit with me after her stage time was over. She finished on stage, made the rounds, and came and sat and explained that I would need to tip her if she sat next to me. "No problem -- I got a pocket-full of ones," I said. She said that men tip 20s, and that there was an ATM in the back. I expected her to say something to get me to bite -- for instance, something like "tip me 20s, and we'll have a really good time." But she didn't offer any encouragement. I said no 20s, and she up and left.
