Just before Christmas, I made my first visit since the new no smoking legislation came into force. I have been curious to see how well it worked in a place like this. I don't like smoke at all and this used to be a very smoky place. This, and a few other similar venues, were the only places that I would willingly mix with smokers. Well, I am pleased to say that the new legislation appears to be working and I did not see any smoking in a quite long visit. So, for me, this is a major improvement.

I had a long Saturday afternoon to kill while the wife was shopping. In theory, the place opens at 12. I went in at 12:30 but it was very dead. I sat slowly drinking and reading my paper until just after 1:00 when the show finally started. 8 girls were in the shift and by the change at 5, I had seen them all 3 times. A couple were excellent, most were very good, only one was slightly disappointing.

I got the impression that the gaps were a bit shorter than on previous visits and that the shows were also a bit shorter but it could easily have been imagination. I was not timing things.
