Open Again as Lux Views
The sign outside still says "Centerfolds," but inside the name of the club now appears to be "Lux Views." They have the new name on the little sign by the entrance, and on the TVs hanging on the wall above the bar, and on the carpet surrounding the stage. Overall, it is an improvement to the old Centerfolds.
Cosmetic upgrades to the club are all over the place, but it looks like it may still be a bit of a work in progress. There was some plastic and tape covering a doorway, and the old elevated area near the door where they used to have couch dances looked like it was under construction. The stage is the same as before, consisting of two circles joined by a straight, narrow connection. The stage seems taller than it used to be (but maybe I'm misremembering), and the tip rail came up to my chest even though I was on a bar stool.
There is a massive video screen behind the stage, and there are six adjacent TV screens all side-by-side up near the ceiling about halfway between the bar and the stage. The screens all played the same thing while I was there: A massive rotating skull that looked like it was floating in the "gone plaid" version of hyperspace from Space Balls. There are also some new chandeliers hanging over the bar, as well as about a half-dozen, little disco balls that move up and down on strings and occasionally shine a bright light right in your eyes. Some old pipes that run from the entrance of the club to the back have been completely covered in dangling pink flowers. The whole place seems cleaner than it used to be.
