Ok club, terrible private dance rooms
I'd made one visit to the GoE a long time ago (2017) and left extremely unimpressed. Rereading my review confirms my memory of the experience. Visited on a Thursday evening. Small, low energy, women were mid.
My latest visit was significantly better though not good enough to warrant giving GoE a third chance.
I arrived in the neighborhood around 11:30 on a Saturday night and walked Broadway between Montgomery and Columbus trying to decide where to stop in first. I eventually convince myself that stopping in the GoE to check things out was the move since I'd never gotten a dance there. ID check (just the doorman looking, no scanning machine which I liked. For a while all of the Broadway clubs were scanning IDs), $20 cover, and I was in. Quite unlike my first visit the club was fairly busy! Seating away from stage-side was nearly full. I grabbed a spot toward the back of the house. The Garden of Eden is about the size of a typical row home so the club is quite narrow. Facing in from the entrance corridor you see the stage off to the left, then one row of low tables (4-5), and one row of high-tops against the wall (5-6). I'd say the place would feel packed with any more than 15-20 patrons. I was happy to see that the quality of the dancers was significantly better than on my first visit too! Between the stage and a couple of dancers working the crowd they all looked pretty good. I would have been open to dances with any of them though I had an eye on a couple in particular.
