45 minutes of my life I can’t get back
The Dolphin is one the oldest strip clubs in Oregon. Apparently they changed ownership, it’s now called Sunset Strip VIP. There used to be a Sunset Strip Club about 5 minutes away, but it closed down maybe a year or so ago. I was in the Beaverton area on a recent Friday night, so I decided to check it out.
It’s on Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. The parking lot structure remains the same as it was with Dolphin. There are a couple of parking spots at the front on the club, then maybe 10-15 parking spots behind that, then more parking spots at the back of the club. I walked in at around 9pm. ID check, no patdown, $5 cover. Club looks pretty much the same as when it was called Dolphin. There is one long main stage, there is a back stage by the pool table and the poker machines. On this night, they had two stages going. Drinks were always expensive at Dolphin, but they were more expensive here. It was $9.75 for a Corona, usually a Corona is $6 to $7 at the different other Portland clubs. Not many customers here, there maybe 5 other customers besides me.
As far as the girls, there were maybe 8 girls. All white, except one Latina. They were all in the 5-6 range. No standout bodies, no standout faces. Girls seemed to be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s range. No one worth trying out a dance. There was one girl who came over and was very touchy feely and was saying all the right things. She said she wanted to see how long I could last with her on top of me. DAMN, usual instant hard-on. Unfortunately she was a 5, so I wasn’t interested, but I gave her a little tip and sent her on her way. She mentioned a 15 min dance. Dolphin used to time their dances by minutes, not by songs. It sounds like it might be the same at Sunset. It also sounds like extras might be on the table depending on the girl.
