Cool Club With Potential But Too Expensive And Pushy

Took an uber to this club on a Friday night and mainly chose it because it's one of the more easily accessible clubs in Chicago.

I get there and the doorman mentions it's BYOB so I end up going to a nearby liquor store first. I go through security and the guy mentions it's a $30 cover and I hand him $40 expecting to get $10 back but he doesn't and just says something along the lines of "we need to make money too". Whatever it's only $10 so I walk on in towards the main area where another bouncer escorts me to a table with a good view of the stage.

It's pretty busy and a few dancers came over to sit with me and I try to get my lay of the land. The main attractions seem to be the main stage or VIP for 30 mins at $375. I asked about the LD situation but couldn't really get a clear answer (nor did I see anyone else partaking which seemed odd). I guess it might have been $30-40 and just back in the upper booth section?
