Blowing this Place Up!

This is not a good review and I am happy to write it because I'm a little pissed. Always been curious about this little SC hanger on and it's pitch for sophisticated girls. Arrived around 9:45 and led up stairs by Wonderland's Doorman. Only good thing about this visit was no cover. There was no mandatory coat check either. Doorman has to tap Joe Lido on the shoulder as he is wearing earphones to say I'm there. There is NO ONE, not other PLs, no girls at this time. Lido says girls are expected around 10 (about 10m). Invite has said opens at 9, no cover until 10. I'll tell him I'll just sit. There's the Wonderland Bar downstairs if I'm interested. I just came from a bar, I'm not interested. I just sit and take it in. Mezzanine space above the Wonderland Club. Cozy, typical club chairs, sink in sofas. Seems nicely done, maybe 6 thick girls downstairs in Wonderland, which you can pretty much see the whole club and stage from upstairs but nothing much going on there either - this isn't a Wonderland review though.

I meet the one girl who seems to have shown up for Lido. White spinner, a bit of strained chat, finally decide on dances, its like $800 for room and maybe for as short as 15m - not sure about that but I'm not phased, I don't pay attention to NYC VIP prices because they are so outrageous. We are about to start and she quotes $40 a dance or 3 for $100. Excuse me, website says $20 a dance, "Oh, that's out of date." I say, fine we'll do the 3. She tried, chatted with me, allowed a modicum of touch but mostly lackluster. Music was mixed house so hard to tell when a song started and stopped so maybe it was a bit longer than usual but not by much. Dance is over and she pushes hard for a tip. I tell her I just gave her $100. I'm a PL but sometimes not that much of a PL. She leaves to go downstairs to the bar for a drink, asked me if I wanted to also. Nah. Maybe thinking another girl has shown up but there is no one and I'm alone again on the mezzanine at 10:45. Downstairs has picked up a little but I'm not feeling this place. I'm done and out. So so disappointed it hurt

Walking, I think I'm really not that far from Rick's. I've always been happy there... to be continued.
