Surprisingly fun night for the area

I had to spend a couple days in Ashland for work, and decided to check out the only club in the area. I headed up to Medford for the night with one of my colleagues. I drove—trying not to drink anymore—and we parked on the street right outside. It seems to be the main drag of their old town/commercial strip. S couple nice looking restaurants on the block...feels very clean and safe.

Walked in to a little entryway/in-between space, and paid a $5 cover. Got into the bar area, and was surprised by how nice the space was. More upscale, less a dive than a lot of Oregon clubs. The bar separates the stage area from the (empty at that point) lap dance section. There's another room to the left of the stage with a pool table, which had about half the customers in it.

I ordered a coke—$3 I think—and my buddy got a beer. (I think $6.75?). We settled by the stage and a methy looking broad with a bolt-ons was tweaking out on the stage. I thought, shit...kinda what I expected in Medford. But after that, the girls were fairly cute and charming and nbot at all methy. Not as pretty as Portland or Eugene, I'd say, but a pleasant surprise. One redhead spinner was especially good on stage, and seemed to enjoy putting patrons' necks in a leg lock...pretty, funny, charming.
