Middle of the road evening at Woody’s - BYOB

Woody’s is a middle-of-the-road strip club; not too exciting, yet enjoyable enough not to write it off altogether. If you want a full nude club in this part of Iowa, it is the only choice. It is in an industrial part of Cedar Rapids and the area around it seems to be safe. It is not a brightly lit club but it is not dark either. You can pretty much see everything in the club. Cover is variable depending on the time of day; before 700PM it is $7, then goes it up to $15. I left at 900, so I can’t say what the prices were late, but I was told they were higher yet. There are two stages, but only the circular one was used while I was there. All the dancers got nude for their third song; most started out fully clothed and then went to topless on the second dance. Tipping at the stage got more attention and closer views of the goodies, but no physical contact. There are VIP booths on the far side of the club and a private lap dance area to the left of the entrance. The DJ was at an OK volume, not too loud, but loud enough to hear what was said. The music was not notable. The parking lot is well lit and seemed safe.

Woody’s is a Bring Your Own Booze club. And by booze, they specify beer; there is no bar, but soft drinks and energy drinks are available from a machine. There is no food other than snacks from a machine. Ice is available for the tub in middle of the table to cool your beer for a tip. I did see more than a few bottles of wine and a bottle of tequilas on people’s tables though. There is no kitchen or food service. There is a convenience store, Casey’s, within a short distance. Food and beer can be bought there and brought in.

I entered about 600PM. There were a dozen dancers and probably 15 to 20 patrons, mostly working class with some still in work clothes. All seemed mellow. Those numbers increased as the evening went on. There were two couples in the club. One couple , who I guess was in their upper 50s sat at the table next to mine. The dancers seemed to know them and they paid a lot of attention to the wife, including unzipping her top and fondling her tits. Nobody said anything about it, but I didn’t see the husband, or any other guys in the club get that treatment. There were six to eight Cubans with typical Latina bodies who all sat at the same table when they weren’t with a customer, which wasn’t often. Most were attractive, and only one had bolt-ons. There were two large dancers who seemed to be occupied most of the evening, and the rest of the dancers were typical midwest fare - brunette for the most part, medium build with A or C cups. There was at least one blonde spinner. There no African American or Asian dancers, but that reflects the demographics of this part of Iowa. 

The dancers were not hustling too much, but were agreeable enough if one approached them. There appeared to be no table side dances or lap dances on the floor. Private dances are $25 per song, which seem to be a uniform 3 minutes long. The private dance area is a large room with little privacy and dances are topless. There is a camera in the room but some discreet contact is available from a few of the dancers, but it is nothing to write home about. Choose your seat so that the dancer is between you and the camera for maximum enjoyment (maybe). My conclusion was that these dances are not worth the money.
