Diamond Catcher

I’ve been going to Diamonds regularly over the past year. As far as the downtown clubs it’s in the top 3 (Spyce, Diamonds, Rouge). Most of my clubbing nowadays is downtown, mainly because downtown has the hottest girls, not because of mileage and value. Having said that Diamonds is hit or miss. Sometimes you’ll go there and it will be lively and packed, other times it will be so dead.

There is a juice bar strip club (Golden Dragon) right next to Diamonds. Golden Dragon is allowed to be open till 6 am since there’s no alcohol. A lot of the girls at Diamonds will work till 2:30am close, then they’ll go next door to work at Golden Dragon. Anyways, back to Diamonds. It’s downtown, so you’ll have to park on the street, no parking lot. On the weekends you might have to find some paid parking if there’s no street parking. Diamonds is open from 7pm-2:30am every day. The first couple of hours are extremely slow. There is a 10 dollar cover every day except for Mondays (5 dollar cover). The bouncer does a pat down and ID check.

You walk in, the DJ booth is to the right of you, the second stage is to the left of you. The main stage is in front of you. There are a few seats scattered across from the club, and there are some VIP seating (you have to pay to sit there). The seating situation is probably the thing I hate the most about the club. Way too few seats, if you walk in and the club is moderately busy, then there will be no seats available, you’ll have to stand. Bathroom is at the back of the club down the hallway. Bar is past the main stage. ATM is past the bar towards the hallway to the bathroom.
