Quiet Tuesday night in Moncton
Angie’s in Moncton is a small, older looking club adjacent a few minutes from downtown Moncton that feels like a bit of a throwback. The building itself doesn’t stand out much from the outside, and the inside keeps that same gritty charm. A little dark, a little worn, but it gets the job done. It’s one big open room with a stage on one side (no one was dancing when I went), a bar along the back, and a lapdance area off to the right. The lighting is dim, which helps with the atmosphere, but the place definitely shows its age. On a Tuesday night, it was quiet with just a few people which made it feel pretty relaxed, if not a little empty.
The dancers working that night were about 5s or 6s overall, nothing spectacular but friendly enough. The first girl I talked to was a bigger blonde who came over right away and started chatting. She mentioned up front that this club doesn’t do extras like the ones I’ve been to in Mississauga. I took her for a dance anyway; it was okay. Low mileage, nothing wild, but she was ok. After that, a petite blonde from Fredericton came over. She said she’s a teacher, which was kind of a fun twist, and she gave a surprisingly hot dance. Not much up top, but she had great energy and good contact, especially for a no-extras club. Definitely the highlight of the night.
Prices are about what you’d expect. There’s a $20 cover charge at the door, and drinks run around $10–12 each. Lapdances were $20 a song, and they take place in semi-private booths off to the side. The booths aren’t totally private, but since the place was nearly empty, it didn’t really matter. It’s a basic setup, but it works fine for what it is.
