Short summary – No frills club that seems designed specifically for extra fun but lineup was average and probably not the best club for a party night out.

After a mediocre outing to Spearmint Rhino, I decided to hit up Synn, which is located in a mini strip mall right behind a gas station. Both clubs are probably less than a mile from each other so you can always go to the other club if you aren’t feeling it at the first place you try. First thing to note is that finding parking was a gigantic pain, and every parking space was taken in the strip mall with several cars circling for a spot, which I guess indicated that there were a lot of customers which could be a good sign. It probably took me 10 minutes to find a spot behind the gas station, which I’m not sure was legal but everything else was already taken including street parking. I guess the area is generally safe since it’s off a heavily trafficked main road, but there were several surveillance cameras on all of the buildings in the strip mall so take that for what it’s worth.

The building itself is nothing to look at from the outside, and it could have just as easily been a Denny’s except it had blacked out windows. There was a line to get in, and the bouncer kept going in and out of the building so it took a while to actually get inside. Cover was $20, and they also took my thumbprint on an iPhone on the way in, which I wasn’t super enthusiastic about but whatever. Once inside, it was pretty dark which didn’t really matter because the interior was super basic. After you entered, you pass a cashier/bar area on your left, and there was what I assume was a private room to the right. There’s a long railing/table in the middle of the room that divides the stage and surrounding seating from the back, and that’s where I posted up since you can see the dancers but not have to be right up next to the stage. On the right of the stage were what I assume were private booths, and then an entrance on the left side to maybe another private area or to the dancers’ dressing area.
