Meh - Don’t Really Get The Hype

Hit Gold Club the other night. Cover’s $5 to get in, which isn’t bad compared to DC prices, but still feels like a cash grab when you see what’s inside. The place is a little cleaner and more put-together than some of the other Baltimore clubs by the block, but it’s not exactly upscale.. could use a wipe down…

The setup is kind of awkward. The main stage is planted right in the middle of the room, then the bar is sectioned off where I was so I had to do a 180 to see the stage. Not too much of a big deal tho.

Lap dances ran me $30 a song when I went and that’s where the real disappointment started for me. Contact is basically air dancing with the occasional brush, and that’s if the dancer’s in a generous mood it seemed. Feels like you’re paying thirty bucks to sit still while someone half-heartedly shakes their ass in front of you. nothing memorable for me at least I didn’t even pretend like I wanted to do anything VIP. Didn’t even get that YMMV feeling.
