Very Cramped with Limited Seating (and Talent)
I went late on a Saturday night, wish I had gone to a different club while in Chicago.
Admiral theater, true to its namesake has the appearance to a small off-broadway theater. When you walk in, the lobby looks the box office and outside of a theatre. Then you go through a hallway on the right to a stage area that also looks like a theatre location, or possibly a dance performance. There is a small stage at front with one pole and chairs surrounding. There’s a “pit” with a small number of two person drink tables and cheap chairs to go on each side. On each side of the stage there’s a one-person stage with a pole for side-shows that no one seemed to watch.
Behind the pit is an elevated level with a long couch along the wall where floor dances occur. There are also a few tables around this area. In the very back right of the main area is the juice bar. They serve non-alcoholic drinks with a one-purchase minimum when I went. You can bring in your own alcohol if you are over 21. There are private rooms are to the side of the bar, but I did not visit these. I got one bottled water that was somewhere between $5-10, but I can’t remember.
