The Transition to Knockouts

Like a gas station price war, something similar seems to be developing in Northwest Indiana, whether it's a result of this club's rebrand as a Knockouts sports bar, or a seasonal slump influenced by more alternative summer events in the area and Chicago. Topless dances at this club and others nearby and not-so-nearby are now $15, and sometimes $10 (on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Knockouts, as of this writing).

These rates apply in a new, communal dance room briefly visited once per song by a diligent dance-counter. The upside to his presence is a lower chance of a dancer padding the song count. The former, slightly-more-private dance area runs 3/$50. Gone is the champagne room, as far as I can tell, but extras were never a thing here anyway.

Not only are mongers stopping by to check out the new sports-themed atmosphere, so are some dancers, dividing their work week between Knockouts and other clubs. Which, in turn, provides more reason for customers to stop by for another look.
