DV8 on a Friday

I haven’t been to DV8 in a couple of years, and I’ve been seeing positive reviews for DV8, so I decided to stop in on a recent Friday.

DV8 is right next to a fast food spot, I can’t remember what the fast food spot was, but I think it was Taco Bell. DV8 has a medium sized parking lot. There is a smoking patio outside of the entrance at DV8. DV8 is one of the few clubs in town that have the dancer schedule posted online (very helpful). They open at 12. First shift is 12-6, next shift is 6-10, and night shift is 10-2:30. Looking at the online schedule a lot of girls on the 6-10 schedule were also on the 10-2:30 schedule, so I think the girls can stay as long as they want. I wanted to get in a bit before night shift, so I could see the other shift before they left. I arrived at around 9pm. The bouncer checked my ID, no patdown, no cover.

Right behind the ID check is where the restroom is. The toilet in the restroom has a locked door. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen that in a strip club. DV8 has a pool table. I *thought* I saw lottery machines at DV8, but I’m not 100% sure. At this point I was a bit tipsy from previous spots before DV8, so memory might be off a bit. There is a bar to the right of the ID check, maybe 6 to 8 seats at the bar. There was seating throughout the club, I could see though if it got really busy that you wouldn’t have a place to sit. They have two stages, only one stage was in use during the time I was there. Music was a mixture of hip hop and rock. There were a lot of patrons on this night, I could tell this is a popular spot. It’s a dive bar feel, everyone seemed to be having a good time. Patrons were a mixture of younger people (late 20’s, early 30’s) and older folks (in their 50’s). The crowd was definitely a blue collar type crowd. Drinks were normal strip club prices, it was a bit more expensive than the other strip club dive bars. 7 bucks for a Modelo. 7 bucks for a rum and coke.
