The Rail just keeps on chugging
I decided to stop by the Brass Rail on a Saturday night as it had been a few months since my last visit. With summer now here, I like to check in on this place as it can actually perk up with warmer weather, Jays games, etc. Was able to walk right in with no waiting which was nice, as that's not always a given. There is no cover for main club entrance. Domestic beers like Coors Light, Canadian, etc. are holding steady at $12.25.
The club was at just over half capacity but pretty good for a Saturday night all things considered. I didn't spot as many young hot dancers as I'd have liked. This club really does run on its "veterans" (i.e. the thirtysomething experienced strippers who, while hot, have been at the club for many years). Eastern Euros are always well represented here.
When I walked in, I did notice something different right away. As soon as I sat down (with my freshly ordered beer, mind you) a waitress came over to ask if I wanted "another beer." I found this odd as I've never been approached with a full beer in my hand before but I noticed the waitresses to be more proactive with customers in general, and my instinct told me it maybe had something to do with declining customers. Maybe so, maybe not...but that's the vibe I got.
