Leave it to Utah to have a "strip club" that doesn't have strippers.
First and foremost the number thing you need to know about Molly's Gemini Room is that it is NOT A STRIP CLUB! I have no idea how the bar is on this site, but this place does not have an SOB license so the dancers on stage can NOT REMOVE CLOTHING. They also can NOT touch you, you can't touch them, there are no private rooms, there are no private dances. This is just a bar nearly under a freeway overpass, in a sketchy area, neighbor to an car wreckage lot, over priced, and happens to have a dancer or two occupying space in the corner.
So lets get to the details. Its located in an industrial area with a lot of homeless camps. The actual building that the "club" is located in, is a portion of a warehouse strip mall. There are very few parking spots available because it shares a lot with a car wreckage/collision yard. 2 of the parking spots in front of Gemini room is the "smoking area" which is really a few plastic chairs, and no drinks are allowed out in this area. Patron parking is about 600 feet away under the freeway overpass which is what this place is next to. There are homeless people sleeping under there and the few times I have stopped by, one time I did see a bum fire going (lmao). If you have to go here take an Uber or Lyft.
The actual place is... well its got new concreate, so I guess that is nice. You walk in and a bright af neon sign is in your face that reads "Salt Lake City is for Strippers" Big ass lie because this pace has no strippers. There is supposed to be a door charge and ID check but no one has ever been at the door to check mine or make me pay, I just walk in and go to the bar. So you walk in and pass a wall, the entire "club" is open space and there are mirrors everywhere. There are a few faux leather and cheap couches along the walls, they look and feel like props from a photoset. This place is big on trying to convey an upscale appearance but forgets that it is in little old salt lake city utah. If you don't like being looked at or want something more private this is not the place for that.. If you sit at the stage it is brightly lit and the way the room is situated all seats are directed at the stage so everyone will see if a girl flashes something extra or how much money is in your wallet. The stage is elevated and has rails all around. 3 foot rule because the place sells alcohol, and no touching with hands, money, etc. It's not a pit style stage either, so what you tip and toss to the lady can be seen by everyone. 1 girl dancing at a time for... I don't know how long because every time I have been its been just one girl on shift, sometimes the bar tender will jump on stage because its so slow.... make sure she tops off your overpriced drink before she takes 15min to dance on stage. No music DJ, its all music the dancer chooses from soundcloud. On the opposite side of the stage in the back of the small area is the bar. Every time I have been here what few people are here sit at the bar, probably because all other seats make you feel like you are the focus of attention because its such a small open area.
