It Was All Good Like 6 Months Ago...

This is a post-raid review of Paradizio. Since a description of the club is obligatory, here you go. The club is located in the hood, but no big deal if you're comfortable in such surroundings. You have to park on the street which can get dicey on a Fri or Sat night. The club is a big rectangle. When you come in they pat you down & you pay the cover ($10 before 9pm & $20 after).

When you walk in there's the ladies restroom & dancer dressing room on the right & pool table & men's room on the left. The bar has a G-like shape, with 2 medium-sized stages. The open part of the G is where the VIPs booths are. The DJ booth is on the back wall. Drinks are all $10. There's a dollar parade, but you can wave dancers off, which becomes very necessary when they keep coming back to you. Tipping $1 at a time can get you far.

So here's the deal, before this place got raided at the beginning of this year, it was known for halfway decent quality dancers w/ very high mileage, incl. all songs played in the VIP. Since the raid, I've noticed that the best VIP options don't show up any more. What's funny is that the dancer quality has increased overall, but now it's hard to find ones down w/ the program. This really sucks b/c what's the point of going to a hood spot like this if all you're gonna get is teased? And for the fans of the pogo-stick LDs, they removed all the chairs from the right corner, the lower end of the G, specifically to prevent this type of activity!
