A random Sunday adventure...

A girl I follow on IG who now dances in NYC had posted she was making a rare return trip on Sunday, and since I didn't have to work early on Monday I figured I would take the trip out to check out GGR for the first time. It was on my radar but 'ok' reviews and the drive never let made me feel compelled to take the trip. Used their IG post to get 1/2 admission so entry was only $10 (actually thought it was free until I re-read it but I'll take any discount I can get).

First off... this place is weird (to me). It's a juice bar, as stated, but I was told no BYOB (I didn't bring any but I had asked since I saw no one else drinking anything other than soda/water). Which is fine, I'm not much of a drinker just odd to me. Also the stage is in the middle w/ seats around it and then on the outside are more seats - and all the seats are bolted in place. Never experienced that before but again no big deal. It's easy enough to find/get to so that was nice, parking was ample although it was late on Sunday so not primetime. Staff seemed friendly, though minimal and guys just stayed to themselves/their groups. I grabbed an open seat, got my $7 Aquafina (highway robbery but was kinda expected) and just got a feel for the place. 4 TV's, in the corners, kinda small, so sitting in the middle was not ideal. I did like the seating option as it allowed me to go to the stage, toss my $1's, and then step back although as the night went on I honestly never felt fleeced for my $ on stage. Some clubs once you give $1 they sit there for the whole rotation trying to milk you like a cow and I never experienced that.

LD's are posted as $30 though 1-2 girls did try to tell me it's standard for the guy to give the extra $10 as a tip. The 2 LD's I had I was not asked for more than $30 though. VIP 15 min was $140 (not sure prices about longer times since I'm not generally a huge VIP guy). VIP room is just booths with no curtain or beads or anything which was also odd to me. Also it was a bit warm back there so they had a fan going which made it better.
