Disappointing weekday after work

Stopped by on a Wednesday around 6 right after work. No cover which was a nice surprise, but they still made me grab a drink at the door so I got a water for 7 dollars. Inside was pretty dead. A few guys scattered around and maybe six or seven dancers total. Music was mid volume, nothing hype, just background noise. Lighting was dark but not in a good way, more like gloomy and empty.

The dollar parade was still happening which felt forced given how few people were there. Dancers would rotate on stage, slowly move around, and scoop up bills, but there was no real energy or effort. Most of the girls were just going through the motions. Sat by the stage hoping to catch some attention and after a while one dancer came up and offered a dance. I said sure just to break the boredom.

Dance was 30 bucks and was very whatever. No talk, no rhythm, just grinding for a couple minutes like she was already over it. Later another dancer approached and I gave it one more try. Same deal. No spark, no flirt, just a basic routine. No extras offered or even hinted at. They both walked off right after like it was just another transaction.
