Paradise used to be called "Hey...
Paradise used to be called "Hey Rube's" and that is still painted on the back door. That's your only clue where to enter. When you enter, you're going to pass the restrooms on the left. The bar itself is run down with cheap plastic outdoor chairs from like Wal-Mart to sit in. There's a horseshoe bar in the center & a stage in the back corner to your left as you enter. Tables & chairs are arranged in front of the stage, but everybody sits at the bar until its full.
Drinks are cheap for a strip club. $3 to $5 buys almost everything except the super premiums like Henn. Amy was a terrific bartender, but I could see how the owner could get called "surly."
This is kind of a weird bar. Almost all the patrons are white & almost all the dancers are black! Everybody seems to know everybody else, including the dancers. It has a real local flavor & the girls clearly work here regularly, even if they are from Minneapolis or Milwaukee. Be aware that the dancers will hustle you hard for drinks. Its a good investment if you pick your girl.
