Afternoon Delight Akron Style

From time-to-time I find myself in Akron, which is not exactly a great place for a destination trip, but it has dive strip clubs, which I enjoy, and in Akron is cheap entertainment. Their number has dwindled in recent years with Lusty’s closed after a fire resulting in numerous code violations and apparently is not likely to reopen. As far as dive strip clubs that leaves Old Glory Days, G-Spot, and Lusty’s, although I have’t heard much about Lusty’s lately. There are better clubs in Akron, with higher quality dancers, and commensurately higher prices, but where is the fun in that, especially if extra fun is not always available?

This trip I decided to hit up the G-Spot as it has been a while since I have been there. All of the dive Akron clubs are pretty much hit or miss on quality and one may as well just choose arbitrarily as on any given day it may be better or worse than the rest of the dive clubs. That is the nature of dives. If you miss on your choice, just move on to the next one. The G-Spot has recently remodeled so it is a bit more upscale than a dive, but not much. They have increased the size of bar itself and now it takes up a lot more space than I remembered. That is OK, as there is a lot of action to be had at the bar side chairs, so the larger bar means more seats are available.
