Hoops- chill friday night

Hoops NYC has a pretty clean, no-pressure feel in my experience. Consistent with NYC, no dollar parade or anything like that and girls did approach pretty freely as it wasn't very packed. Music is a bit loud, making the small talk a bit tough.

The dancers I saw were a mix of Black, Hispanic, Russian and one Asian girl. There were about 8–12 of them working the floor when I was there on a Friday night. Some skinny and some more curvy but overall pretty good compared to other spots in the area. The vibe was r chill, and everyone seemed pretty friendly, though there weren't a ton of people around—just a couple of solo guys and two tables. Some of the girls were really engaging, chatting and laughing with people, while others kept to themselves a bit more. No pressure, though—everyone was pretty low-key and just doing their thing. Passed for dances on a few and it wasn't a big deal.

Drinks were about $10 each, which isn’t bad for a place like this. Dances were $20, and some of the girls asked for tips, but it wasn’t a hard sell—others didn’t mention anything at all. VIP booths were mentioned by a few girls, but I wasn’t looking to go that route, so I can’t speak to those costs.
