Nice alternative to HK and Chicago (though part of the HK company)

Had a recent work trip to southern California so added two days on the front end of my work trip to visit Tijuana. Once over the border I take the bus up to Revolucion and walk to the hotel. It's 14 pesos which is about $.65 - ha! It takes the same route as a cab and typical only has 1 or 2 stops before I hop off in the tourist area. I'm a comfortable Spanish speaker. If I wasn't I would not mess with the bus.

I normally stay at a hotel a few blocks from main clubbing area to get a more restful sleep but decided to try out Rizo on this visit. I stayed for two nights - a Monday and Tuesday so after the buying the VIP card upon check in, the cost of the rooms was very low since those are the two heavily discounted nights. I think I paid $70 (or thereabouts) for two nights at the hotel. I got a room with two beds. It was on the third floor of the hotel but fairly directly above the club. I could hear a bit of club music when going to sleep at 1-2 AM each night but it wasn't too bad. They do take a $40 cash deposit upon check in which is designed to offset stuff consumed from the mini bar. They return your money at check out if the mini bar drinks aren't consumed.

I'll only review Tropical Bar for now yet ventured to many of the area clubs including HK, Chicago, Gold, Carrera and La Gloria. I met up with two fellow tusclers - OPIllini96 and seven. We bounced from club to club for 4 about fours on my second night there - Tuesday. Both dudes were chill and real cool to hang with.
